The sauna by the pond is heated for a good steam, depending on the weather and the number of sauna-goers, for 5 to 8 hours. We always heat the sauna with birch wood, as tradition dictates. The hot smoke cleans the air, and the sauna’s warm air is truly healing. Once the heating is done, the sauna is ventilated, and a generous amount of water is thrown onto the stove to drive out the excess smoke. We use soft water from the pond for washing, and in the summer, sauna-goers can cool down in the pond, while in winter, it’s perfect for rolling in the snow to shake off the heat.

The rich, earthy smell of burning wood is complemented by the scent of birch branches used for whipping. When water is poured onto the stove stones, the warmth spreads throughout the sauna, and the guests enjoy a soft, slightly moist heat. There is plenty of both hot and cold water in the sauna. It can accommodate at least 15 people at once for whipping.

After the sauna, guests can relax in a spacious front room, where they can enjoy refreshing drinks and light snacks. There is a refrigerator in the front room to keep the drinks cool.
